Round Rock, Texas, March 10, 2025 – “The Connection 2025: Ignite Your Vision” has concluded
and it is with great excitement that IDOC announces it was a tremendous event. With nearly
700 attendees gathering at the Kalahari Resort in Texas, the event brought together
independent optometrists, optical staff, vendor partners, IDOC experts and industry leaders for an
unforgettable experience filled with inspiring speakers, educational courses, hands-on staff
training, valuable peer and vendor networking, and much more.
Event Highlights:
-
IDOC Roundtables: IDOC’s Roundtables were a standout feature – once again – providing
a multi-hour, intimately collaborative setting for attendees to share insights, explore best
practices, and solve challenges. These discussions sparked meaningful conversations and
fostered lasting connections among participants.
-
Keynote Speakers: The event kicked off with Eric Termuende delivering an
inspiring keynote on "The Future of Work." His dynamic presentation set the tone for the
entire event, leaving attendees energized and ready to shape the workplaces of tomorrow.
On day two, Sharon Carter and Dr. Lynn Lawrence teamed up for a powerful
keynote on "How to Implement Organizational Change," offering actionable strategies for
evolving businesses in today’s fast-paced world.
-
60+ Vendor Sponsors: The Sponsor Marketplace was a hub of innovation,
featuring over 60 leading vendor partners showcasing the latest technologies, products,
and solutions for optometry practices. Attendees had ample time to connect with vendors,
discover new tools for practice growth, and take advantage of exclusive show specials.
-
Member Spotlights: Four exceptional IDOC members were recognized from the stage
for their dedication and impact on the industry. Beth Seidman, O.D. (Eyecare
Center of Ken Caryl), Juawana Hall, O.D. (Hillcrest Vision), Mariah Smith, O.D.
(Reno Family Eye Care) and Todd Cohan, O.D. (Forsight Vision, LTD, and Midwest
Dry Eye Center) shared their inspiring journeys, offering invaluable insights into
building successful practices and overcoming challenges through the empowerment of
communities and resources like IDOC.
-
Optical Training: The two-day Quantum Optical “Pinnacle Program” was a
sold-out success in just two weeks, providing in-depth training that equipped optical
staff with practical knowledge in Rx analysis, refractive errors, lenses, and frame
types. This hands-on training aimed to enhance patient satisfaction, reduce remakes,
and boost sales – empowering practices for future success.
-
Networking and Celebrations: The event’s networking opportunities, including the
Ignite the Night celebration and a fun-filled Karaoke session, offered
attendees a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere to connect and unwind. The Karaoke session
was a favorite, providing a lighthearted evening of music, laughter, and camaraderie,
